# Integration commands

> `statusline`, `completions` and `manpage` produce output for Claude Code's status line, your shell and `man`.

These three commands print text for another program to read. None of them makes a network request or touches a login.

Their only options are `--json` and `--help`, which [Global options](/reference/commands#global-options) describes.

## `statusline`

```text theme={null}
One line for Claude Code's status bar; reads its session JSON on stdin
Usage: pitboard statusline [OPTIONS]
```

`pitboard statusline` reads the session JSON that Claude Code passes on standard input. It uses only `session_id`, `rate_limits.five_hour.used_percentage`, `rate_limits.five_hour.resets_at`, `rate_limits.seven_day.used_percentage` and `rate_limits.seven_day.resets_at`.

When standard input is a terminal, it reads nothing. Input that is not JSON counts as empty, and the command always exits 0.

It prints one line: the account in use, then every other enrolled Claude Code account, two spaces apart.

| Part           | Meaning                                                                                                     |
| -------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `work 46%·70%` | `work` has used 46% of its five-hour limit and 70% of its weekly limit. Percentages are whole numbers. |
| `?` | pitboard has no reading of that limit. |
| `0%` | None of that limit is used, or it has reset since pitboard last read it. |
| `(3h 00m)` | The age of another account's reading, shown once it is older than 15 minutes. |
| `unenrolled` | Shown in place of the first label when Claude Code's config names no account, or one you have not enrolled. |

Limits for a single model and accounts of OpenAI's Codex CLI never appear.

The label of the account in use is bold. Other labels, `·`, `?` and ages are dim. A percentage is green under 70%, yellow from 70% and red from 90%.

The colour stays on through a pipe unless `NO_COLOR` is set, as [Commands](/reference/commands#output) describes. With `--json`, the [JSON output](/reference/json-output#data-by-command) field `data.line` holds the line without colour.

It reads Claude Code's config to learn which account is in use. It also reads pitboard's accounts and readings, never the keychain.

It keeps what each session passed at its last run in `~/.pitboard/sessions.json`. It records a session's numbers in `~/.pitboard/usage.json`, the readings `pitboard` and the app show. For when it records them, see [How usage is read](/concepts/usage#what-the-status-line-adds).

At a prompt, it prints pitboard's last readings:

```sh theme={null}
pitboard statusline
```

```text theme={null}
work 46%·70%  personal 12%·40% (3h 00m)  side ?·?
```

To add it to Claude Code, see [Show usage in Claude Code's status line](/guides/status-line).

## `completions`

```text theme={null}
Print a shell completion script
Usage: pitboard completions [OPTIONS] <SHELL>
```

| Argument  | Values                                        |
| --------- | --------------------------------------------- |
| `<SHELL>` | `bash`, `elvish`, `fish`, `powershell`, `zsh` |

`pitboard completions` prints the completion script for that shell on standard output.

With `--json`, it prints no script and exits 2 with the error `output_is_not_a_report`.

The Homebrew casks install the bash, zsh and fish scripts. Each release tarball includes them in `completions/`, and the app in `Pitboard.app/Contents/Resources/completions/`. No release includes the elvish or PowerShell script.

zsh loads `_pitboard` from any directory on its `fpath`. This example writes it to the current directory:

```sh theme={null}
pitboard completions zsh > _pitboard
```

## `manpage`

```text theme={null}
Print the man page
Usage: pitboard manpage [OPTIONS]
```

`pitboard manpage` prints pitboard's man page in roff on standard output. `pitboard --help` does not list it. With `--json`, it exits 2 with the error `output_is_not_a_report`.

The man page gives the synopsis, the global options, and each command with its arguments and options. It is pitboard's only man page.

The Homebrew casks install it. Each release tarball includes it as `pitboard.1`, and the app as `Pitboard.app/Contents/Resources/man/pitboard.1`.

This example opens it in `man`:

```sh theme={null}
pitboard manpage > pitboard.1
man ./pitboard.1
```
