Google’s sign-in and passkeys never work in an account window. Sign in lists the ways that do.

Pitboard is missing from the Share menu

In Safari, Chrome and Firefox, the Share menu is File > Share. Safari also has a Share button in its toolbar. If Pitboard is not listed, turn it on in System Settings:
  • macOS 15 and later: System Settings > General > Login Items & Extensions > Sharing.
  • macOS 14: System Settings > Privacy & Security > Extensions > Sharing.
Whether other browsers list Pitboard is not known. If your browser has no Share menu, open the account window and go to the page there.

A window does not load its page

The window shows Couldn’t Load the Page and the reason, such as a lost connection. Fix what the reason names, then click Try Again. The window sends WebKit’s own user agent. Whether a site’s check for automated traffic stops it is not known. When a page crashes, the window loads it again. If it crashes again within 60 seconds, the reason is The page stopped working.

Downloads are not saved

Downloads go to ~/Downloads. If you clicked Don’t Allow when macOS asked for that folder, Pitboard cannot save there. Open System Settings > Privacy & Security > Files & Folders and turn on Downloads Folder for Pitboard. A download that fails says why in the window’s Downloads list, which the toolbar’s Downloads button opens.

A window is signed in as the wrong account

Pitboard never reads what a window keeps, so it cannot see who is signed in. The window’s title is the label of the account it belongs to, whoever signed in. Sign the window out, then sign in as the email address in the note at its top.
